Tips for completing the FAFSA correctly:
File the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1st, shoot for a deadline date of February 15th
If your taxes have not been filed yet use last year’s information. You can always go back and correct the FAFSA once your taxes have been done.
Do not leave any items blank
Print a copy of the FAFSA for your records
Keep copies of your taxes
Renew your FAFSA annually!!

friendly and detailed in instruction. Filling out the FAFSA worksheet
prior to filling out the actual FAFSA helps you to understand what is
needed and helps you to gather all the necessary documents.

monetary award given to students based on need. It is ‘first
come, first serve’ so the earlier you fill out the forms the better!
