The girls Modified softball team was finally able to test their ability on the field in their game yesterday against Prattsburgh. After shaking off first –game jitters, the girls came together and pulled off a 20-13 victory over the Vikings. Coach Porter is proud of this total team effort and the sportsmanship shown by her players. The team would like to thank all those who came out to support team yesterday. The girls will be hosting Hammondsport today at 4:30. Go Wildcats!!

May 12th

Girls modified softball team and they were able to play their second game against Hammondsport. Both teams started off slow until the lady wildcats ran in 6 runs in the second inning with a double by Erin Cornish and triple by Allie Porter.

Hammondsport fired right back with 7 runs of their own in the 3rd inning. The lady wildcats were able to focus and bring 10 more runs by the end of the game. Tori Stobel’s 9 strike outs helped quiet down the Hammondsport team and a great catch in centerfield by Tabitha Grover capped off our ladies 16-10 win over Hammondsport. Great job ladies!

May 16th

Due to the monsoon conditions that raged through Prattsburg on Saturday, the girls modified softball team was the only able to play one of their games in their scheduled double-header. The girls started off slow, giving up 6 runs to the Viking in the 1st inning. Tori Strobel’s in-the-park homerun, Erin Cornish’s 4 hits, and a great team effort launched the lady wildcats to a 21-10 victory over Prattsburg. Great job ladies!! The girls will play their last home game of the season on Tuesday May 26th. Hope to see you there!
