Great Season Ladies

9-5  The N Girls Soccer Team retained their title as the Keuka classic Champions by defeating Campbell-Savona 8-0. Allycia Leach, Kerrigan Lisi and Kirsten Davis each scored 2 goals and Ashley Lewis and Kaitlyn Hyler scored 1 each. In the goal, Kelsey Button and Paige Price combined for the win.

Great Job Team!

9-10  The Girls JV squad pulled out a well fought win over Addison with a score of 1-0. Allycia Leach scored assisted by Kerrigan Lisi on an indirect Kick in the 2nd half. Defense, led by Kelsey Button and Kelly Symonds, played a tough physical match and held out for the shut-out. The girls travel to Alfred Almond on Friday where they expect another tough game.

9-12  On Friday the girls JV squad edged out Alfred Almond 2-1. Scores came from Kaitlyn Hyler and Kerrigan Lisi assisted by Ashley Lewis.  Come show your support tonight as both girls team play their first match –vs- Canisteo-Greenwood

9-16  The JV Team came out shooting last night and ended up beating Canisteo-Greenwood 6-0. Putting the ball in back of the net were Allycia Leach, Kaitlyn Hyler, Emily Sherman, Aubrey Fry and Kerrigan Lisi- with 2.  The defense recorded another great game.

9-18  The JV girls traveled to Blue Jay Country last night and put out a fantastic all-team effort to remain undefeated. Kerrigan Lisi assisted with a nice cross that Brooke VanSkiver headed in, and then Kerrigan added another goal to tie the game and send it into overtime. Lauren Wyant, Kelli Symonds, and Leann Green provided solid defense, and Kelsey Button had yet another awesome performance in goal. In the second overtime period, Kerrigan took it all the way into secure the 3-2 victory. Congratulations to the JV Ladies on a well-executed team victory!!

9-22  It was another solid performance by the entire JV squad last night as they took on Campbell-Savona at home.  Erin Cornish opened up early, scoring on an assist from Brooke VanSkiver.  Allycia Leach nailed one to the net off a direct kick and Kerrigan Lisi also scored to round out an exciting first half.  Kelsey Button and Paige Price shared keeper duty and combined for four saves in goal.  In the second half, Kaitlin “Kiki” Huyler crossed it in for Brooke to score, rounding out another victory with a final score of 4 to 1.  Come see the undefeated JV girls play Hammondsport at home Wednesday at 4:30.

9-24  Things keep coming together for the JV girls.  Although Paige seemed to be growing a beard back there, she and Kelsey combined for a shut-out against Hammondsport last night.  Erin Cornish and Kaitlyn Huyler each scored a goal and Brooke Van Skiver netted two.  Improved passing and just the right touches all around helped to secure the 4 to 0 victory.  Come see the JV gals play at Homecoming on Saturday at 1 PM against Wellsville.

HOMECOMING  -  The JV Girls rocked Homecoming on Saturday to beat Wellsville.  The first goal came as Brooke VanSkiver battled the goalie, came out with the ball, then passed it back for a Kaitlyn Huyler score.  A bit later, Ashley Lewis took a high ball from Kerrigan Lisi and put it in the opposite corner of the net.  In the second half, Erin Cornish added a goal and defender Lauren Wyant took one all the way down to score.  The passing excitement continues tomorrow as your undefeated JV girls host Avoca at 4:30 pm

9-30  The JV girls battled Avoca at home last night.  Brooke VanSkiver sent a cross to Ashley Lewis, who tapped it across the front of the goal box and saw it roll in for the lone JT score of the game.  Unfortunately, it was a game of missed opportunities and the ball just not falling right as the JV girls took their first loss of the season by a score of 2 to 1.  Go get ‘em next time ladies!

10-6  The JV girls played Addison here last night and went into halftime break with a 1-0 deficit. However, they rallied in the second half, and after some ping pong back and forth, Ashley Lewis put in a score to tie the game. The girls held on and held off Addison through over time to maintain the 1 to 1 tie score.  They face Alfred Almond at home on Wednesday

10-8   On Wednesday afternoon, the JV Girls Soccer Team defeated Alfred-Almond 3 to 0, as Kelsey Button picked up another shut-out.  Brooke Van Skiver scored in the first half, and then dished out a beautiful leading pass for Kaitlyn Huyler to score from early in the second half. Strong dominating play up and down the field by the entire team kept Alfred Almond frustrated and scoreless.  Dallas Armentano made her first career goal with a rolling shot to the corner that eased right in to the net, surprising her and ending the game.  The JV Ladies have a 10 – 1 – 1 record and play at Canisteo-Greenwood after school 10-10 @ 4pm

10-13  On Monday afternoon, the JV Lady Cats faced Arkport at home.  After dancing for passers-by and putting away good amounts of spaghetti, the young ladies fought the Blue Jays through two halves of regulation and on into overtime. This evenly matched game saw many fantastic opportunities foiled by the opposing defense and ended in a scoreless tie.  The JV Girls have one regular season game remaining as they travel to Campbell-Savona on Thursday afternoon.  See you there!

10-16 The JV Girls played under the lights at Campbell-Savona last night, bringing home a two to one victory.  Kelsey Button and Paige Price shared the shut-out.  Brooke VanSkiver scored the first goal, which rolled under the goalie and out the back of the net.  After a frenzied shooting attack and many shots by many people, Kiki Huyler added the second goal.

The JV Girls are seeded #2 in the County Tournament, and Round One begins tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM right here at our home field.  Good luck girls!

10-18  The JV Girls suffered a tough 1 to 0 loss at the hands of Campbell-Savona in the first round of the JV County Tournament on Saturday morning.  They play at home on Wednesday.

10-24 The JV Girls held on to win their final game of the season over Canisteo Greenwood on Friday.  Within the first minute of the game, Kiki Huyler dished off an assist to Brooke VanSkiver.  Not much later, the Redskins had a handball in the box, setting up Brooke’s second goal by penalty kick.  Kelsey Button and Paige Price split halves tending goal and the final score was 2 to 1.
