April 25th - The J-T Modified baseball team got their team off to a great start last night with a thrilling extra-inning victory over league powerhouse Addison.. The final score was 12-11 in 8 innings with B-man striking out 7 batters over the final 22/3 innings to pick up the win.
April 26th - The J-T Modified Baseball team improved to 2-0 with convincing 14-1 win over visiting Prattsburg Thursday night. Great pitching and timely hitting was once again the key as the boys pulled together for total team efforts. At the plate B-man led the way with 3 runs bottled in. Cornish collected those hits while once again dominating on the mound bringing his season totals to 18 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. B-man also pitched throwing 2 solid innings. Cookie added 2 k’s in the last inning. Great game guys!
May 2nd - The J-T Modified baseball team picked up its first loss of the season last night losing to Alfred-Almond. Shorthanded, the boys played valiantly throughout a touch emotional contest. Brandon Cornish paced the offense with two rocket shots, a triple and double that had the Alfred-Almond out fielders scrambling. Brennan Thurber picked up his usual 2 Chris and Justin O’Neil came through with a huge hit to kee the young Cats in the game. Good effort Guys!
May 4th - The J-T modified baseball team ran their record to 3-1 with a win over visiting Bradford on Friday evening. Down 5-0 after 1 inning, the J-T boys scratched their way back to win 8-7. Brennan Thurber hit a BOMB, only to stop at third because he was winded! In all B-man had 2 rbisd on the day and was on base 3 times. Other offensive starts included Branden Cornish double, 3 runs scored, Justin O’Neil single, Brady Simons run scored.
And for all of you Yankees Fans THE ROCKET IS BACK!!!! Roger Clemens signed a contract yesterday to pitch the rest of the season for the NY Yankees
May 9th - Modified Baseball Team bounced back with a 7-4 win over host Canseragea.
Brennan Thurber went the distance on the mound striking out eight while walking just two. He helped his own cause by going 2-3 at the plate, including a booming triple. Other offensive stars included Corndog with 2 more hits and a couple of runs scored, Cappy – 2 hits, Dakota-double, Joe P – single, and Cookie – a single, Overall the team played well, committing only two errors while raising their season record to 4-2.
May 24th - The J-T Modified boys upped their record to 7-3 with two wins over the last few days. On Saturday, the young cats defeated Arkport 19-10. Tuesday night, trailing 9-2 after 2 innings, the boys fought back to take a 13-12 win from visiting Hammondsport.
